1993年出生的Keith Ape 他的童年和大多數孩子一樣，喜歡電影愛聽流行音樂，一切都是看似那麼的平常。直到他 14 歲的那年，當他第一次聽到 Nas在1994年發行了的那張《Illmatic》十週年混音特別版專輯的時候，埋藏在他體內的那顆Hip-Hop種子自此萌芽了。在那之後，Keith 開始自己寫詞做Trap，歌詞中的每一處韻腳都來自生活當中日常裏的詞彙，就是這麼自然的就寫出了押韻的詞。Keith在那時給自己取了他的第一個名字：Kid Ash。
Keith Ape有個很特別的地方在於，他不像Psy是靠流行音樂/洗腦娛樂打入美國市場，而的確是受到美國的嘻哈圈子歡迎的，這從It G Ma的Remix就看得出來；而記得以前看到過他自己也說過：“Korean Hip-Hop sucks”（應該不是原話，大致意思），這些都是很耐人尋味的地方。
同時他自己的確是有非常獨特的風格的，並沒有完全跟風美國的說唱歌手（當然It G Ma有點OG Maco的嚎叫式陷阱的味道。
